Neoclassical Period


Neoclassical Period

 

This a time where the society grows in many ways: science, intellect, architecture, literature and decorum.

Science: mathematics is used to explain how the world works like. Also is the age of study of anatomy. Many instruments such as the microscope were adored by people. Science became like their gods.

Intellect: in this age the manners and the vocabulary were really important to be seen sophisticated.

Architecture: people built some cathedrals and building that today we have the pleasure to see. In that time many people started to worried about what others think about their economic status. For that kind of people it was really important to build enormous houses and gardens.

Literature: literature is classified by structure, accuracy and order. They used to like essays, parody, satire, tales and letters.

Decorum: this is the age of the raise of the middle class in this age. It was very important for the people to be social and respectable. They used to gather with friends to drink coffee and discuss about politics. Newspaper were full of advertising about home decorations, fashion and furniture. The public theater and novel are primary in London.
